winter 1998. a table carried along the roads that encircle the Llanaelhaearn
uplands, placed at intersections, a domestic object becoming landscape.
Acts of belonging. Two tables turned, carried, choreographed, during a
week in residency at Chapter arts centre, Cardiff. Tables installed with
radio mics, recording/ amplifying interaction and environmental sound.
Sound treated and mixed live. Passage of winter light in studio space
witnessed and recorded, choreography developed between tables and in response
to movement of light. Open research performance, 4 hours; looping actions
and soundscape. Repetitive action of lifting and rolling table, alongside
dancer Cai Tomos, actions amplified by sound.
